Yvonne Barnett was born in
Sydney, but traveled Australia extensively due to her free and adventurous
nature. Memorable among these traveling years, was the span of six years
she spent on "The Grawin" opal fields mining for opals, painting on
location and capturing in her oils the majestic landscape, the charm of the
opal fields, the miners' huts and the old timers diggings!
Eventually, Yvonne settled in the beautiful lake Macquarie region where
she has seriously undertaken further studies of watercolours for
another six years and achieved her high level of professionalism and
finesse that is immediately evident in her work!
Her work is characterized by its luminosity and natural fluidity which
reveals the mysterious inner light inherent in all her completed paintings, that can
only be achieved by experience and masterly control...and that is what
sets her apart!
Yvonne specializes in seascapes, landscapes, floral art, birds and
portraits.
Yvonne, in addition to her busy painting schedule, tutors adults
and, more recently, children to advance the cause of fine art and to pass
her vast and well earned experience to others who are willing to answer
the call of high art.... |
